Best Practices

UPS Sizing Tips

Avoid common mistakes and protect your critical infrastructure.

Size at 70-80% Load

Never run a UPS at full capacity. Operating at 70-80% load extends battery life and provides headroom for power spikes.

Plan for Redundancy

Mission-critical systems should use N+1 or 2N redundancy. A failed UPS with no backup is equivalent to no UPS at all.

Replace Batteries on Schedule

UPS batteries degrade over 3-5 years. Schedule proactive replacements before failures occur during an actual outage.
