Wi-Fi Connection Issues
Common Wi-Fi issues and self-service steps for resolving dropped connections and weak signals.
Can't Connect to Wi-Fi
Verify you're connecting to the correct SSID (check with your IT admin for the current network name). Forget the network on your device and reconnect. If the network doesn't appear, the nearest access point may be offline.
Frequent Disconnections
Frequent drops often indicate interference or AP overload. Move closer to an access point and see if stability improves. Devices that roam between APs (walking between floors) may experience brief drops during handoff.
Slow Wi-Fi Speeds
Ensure your device supports the latest Wi-Fi standard in use (Wi-Fi 6/6E). Older devices may connect at slower speeds. Run a speed test near the AP and again from your desk — significant difference means coverage gaps.
When to Call Support
If Wi-Fi issues affect multiple users or persist after basic troubleshooting, submit a ticket. We can remotely check AP health, channel utilization, and client roaming patterns to identify the root cause.
